A few more words...

on the detailed cost estimating for underground utilities

Installing underground utilities involves many challenges, such as deep trench excavation, dewatering, traffic management, environmental controls, and pipe laying. As a result, a cost estimator needs to understand the critical aspects of this type of construction. In this course, we will cover the fundamental principles of estimating various underground utility installations, from minor works to grand installations. By the end of this course, you will have the confidence to complete a cost estimate for the most common underground utility installation.

Completing a cost estimate for underground utility projects can be challenging, as there may be items not explicitly shown on the drawings, such as unanticipated conditions and project logistics. A good understanding of construction methodology is crucial for accurate cost estimation, especially for underground utility construction. Crew selection and production rates are only part of the bigger picture. In this course, we will guide you through all the necessary steps to complete a comprehensive cost estimate for standard underground utility installations, helping you to avoid potential blind spots and increase your confidence in cost estimating.
